Password generator

A built-in generator can create long, random passwords so you're not relying on memorable-but-guessable patterns. Since the vault remembers the password for you, there's little reason to keep it simple.

Security checkup

A checkup tool typically scans your saved logins and flags ones that are weak, reused across multiple sites, or haven't been changed in a long time — giving you a prioritized list to work through rather than guessing where to start.

Working through the list

  • Start with reused passwords on your most sensitive accounts (email, banking, primary work login)
  • Generate a new unique password for each flagged account, one at a time
  • Enable two-factor authentication anywhere it's offered, especially for high-value accounts

A note on breach alerts

Some password managers offer alerts if a saved login appears in a known data breach. Availability and accuracy of these features vary by product and plan — treat them as a helpful signal, not a guarantee.
